案件背景 (最多300字): Fauzan Afriansyah Alias Vincent Alias Dodo Alias Doni (46 years old) is an Indonesian citizen as well as a fostered/inmate at the Paledang Bogor Class IIA Prison. However, on June 20, 2022, the defendant had been released from prison with the status of Parole. The defendant was again arrested by the Police because based on the description of the public prosecutor's indictment, the defendant asked M. Nofriadi along with Heri Adi, and M. Daud to work on the defendant by taking class I narcotics of the methamphetamine type packaged in 23 (twenty-three) packages of Guanyingwang tea packaging and put in 2 (two) backpacks from Malaysia and the defendant himself as the person who controlled the collection of the narcotics to be then marketed in Indonesia. The defendant was charged with death penalty, but was sentenced to 12 (twelve) years in prison by the panel of judges of the Court of First Instance, then his sentence was converted by the Court of Appeal into 14 years of imprisonment. In 2024, the Supreme Court declined the cassation and did not change the sentence.

辯方意見 (最多200字): In the defense in the court of first instance, the defendant claimed that he was arrested and detained without a clear reason, the detention that the defendant was undergoing exceeded the time limit. During the communication by phone heard by several investigators, the methamphetamine-type narcotics brought by Nofriadi belonged to Jeky Jakarta, not the defendant. Then the defendant admitted to signing the minutes of the examination because he was promised an easier procedure by signing it. The police intimidated and threatened to arrest the defendant's family members if the defendant did not want to cooperate. The arrest of the defendant was felt to be coercive because the defendant was innocent and not involved in the narcotics crime committed by Nofriadi.

判决摘要 (最多200字): The panel of judges at the court of first instance assessed that the arguments submitted by the defendant and legal counsel were only based on testimony without the support of other evidence, so that the panel of judges considered all the arguments of the legal counsel to be unprovable and without legal grounds. Therefore, the entire series of arguments of the defendant and the defendant's legal counsel in their defense memorandum must be declared rejected. The incriminating circumstance for the defendant, according to the panel of judges, is that the defendant has been convicted in a case related to narcotics.
